After his priestly ordination he dedicated himself to the ministry of preaching and education of youth in the school and the oratory. He was first in Bassano and subsequently in Parma.
From 1891 to 1898 he left the Congregation and was parish priest in Montecchio of Reggio Emilia.
He was re-admitted to the novitiate and to the Profession, and spent his last years as a preacher of retreats and in hearing confession.
