He spent all his life in preaching to the humble people of the country side; first in the diocese of Pavia, then in Trento and finally in Parma.
His simple and vivacious way of preaching was very effective. Exhausted in his physique he was compelled to retire to bed and prepare himself for the death of the “faithful servant”, with edifying serenity.
