After his ordination he lived for one year in Rome (St Agatha) where he frequented the university of Angelicum, obtaining the licentiate in theology (1961-1962). He went to live in Gemona (Udine), from 1962 to 1970 as vice rector of the college and in charge of our aspirants.
In 1971 he was rector of the college in Udine where he remained until 1987.
He contracted cirrhosis of the liver and he went to Pavia then to Milan where he was in charge of our university boarding, commuting between Milan and Verona for treatment.
He was assisted with love by the confreres of San Leonardo, where he died in the evening of 21 Dec 1991.
He wanted to live but he was also ready to die. He maintained himself always young among the young people. He was smiling, cheerful, welcoming, selfless and helpful – constantly singing in his heart.
