LUIGI MORANDO (bishop)

He taught for many years in our schools of Verona and Bassano. Later he lectured the students of the Vatican Seminary on moral theology. Together with Fr V. Vignola he founded the community of Parma (1876), where he gave a great contribution in developing the Marian Oratories. He was much appreciated as a preacher and several conferences of his were even published.
He started the process for the beatification of our Founder in 1906. In that very year he was appointed bishop of Brindisi and Ostuni. He exhausted himself with work for the well being of his diocese, neglecting his own health.
