As a child he migrated to Brazil with his family and settled in Castro (PA). throughout his life as a religious he exercised the office of a sacristan and was always zealous, ordered and devout. He loved the Congregation and was very devoted to Our Lady. Among the youth he worked intensely for vocations to religious brotherhood. Many people admired and loved him. When he entered the Congregation, he got a tumour in the liver, and devotedly prayed St. Gemma Galgani with a triduum: he was miraculously cured. He always wanted people to know about the grace he received. During the last years of his life he bore with patience the sufferings of his sickness.
