After his ordination he taught in the Seminary for ten years. He was then elected parish priest of the Most Holy Trinity in Verona, which is the parish church of the Stimate. He had the great merit of writing the first biography of St Gaspar Bertoni in 1858 (“Vita del Padre Bertoni”). He gave very precious witness during the Diocesan Process of Verona for the opening of the cause of beatification of our Founder. He remained a great friend and supporter of our confreres.
