It is with sadness that I write to inform you that the Rev. Leonard Joseph
Ferrecchia, C.S.S. (90) died this morning, December 30, 2019, at approximately
8:00 a.m.
Father Leonard was born February 11, 1929 in Milford Massachusetts, making his
first profession June 12, 1949 and was ordained May 8, 1955. Fr. Leonard left
the Congregation and the priesthood in 1974, though was reinstated and professed
vows again on December 5, 1999. Father Leonard served his entire priestly
ministry in various parishes of the Province.
Father Leonard’s Funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Sacred
Heart of Jesus Church, Milford, Massachusetts. In accordance with his wishes
there will be no wake though all are invited to gather at Sacred Heart Church at
9:30 a.m., with a prayer service scheduled for 10:30 a.m. preceding Mass.
Please remember to celebrate the required Masses commending Father Leonard to
our Lord’s love and mercy.
