He was among the first vocations produced by the foundation of Bassano (1877). Together with his fellow-villager Fr Bertapelle, he left to his confreres and to the parishioners of Pavia a great good memory. He was a model religious and filled with zeal. He dedicated himself with great fervour to prayer and to the sacred ministries. He was completely oblivious of himself and offered his service totally to the salvation of souls. He died only 14 months after his ordination, caught by a sudden illness. His days were short but filled with merits.
