He entered our congregation as an adult, after having had much experience of world life to the extent of covering the position of “carnival king” of Sorocaba, his town of origin in the state of S. Paulo.

After his ordination he was engaged in parish ministry for many years, especially in Campinas, where he was parish priest of St Edwiges.

He was serving in important positions as provincial bursar and councillor for the economic affairs of the province.

He spent his last years in Curitiba, near his friend Dom Moacyr Vitti, auxiliary bishop of the Paranà capital.
