He was always delicate and weak in health, but he did a lot of good to the most little ones in all our institutions: in Trento, Udine, Rome, Battipaglia and in the end among our aspirants. He lived a humble and hidden existence, always desiring to please God and to do his will.
He had a tender love for Our Lady of whom he like to talk with enthusiasm, encouraging all to develop devotion to her.
He spent his last years in our Apostolic School in Cadellara. Two bishops were present to his funeral: his own brother, bishop of Padua, and the bishop of Verona who in the homily praised Fr Pietro’s humble and fervent religious life.
