He had an outstanding physique and good culture. His young people whom he looked after with great dedication used to call him “Father Giovanni”, though he was not a priest. His special field of work in which he excelled was the “Udine Sunday recreation Centre” (Ricreatorio festivo Udinese). An innumerable number of youth are indebted to him for their religious and moral education. He received a golden medal for his work as an educator. He spent the last years of his life in San Leonardo in suffering and prayer.
