LUIGI BENEDETTI (priest)

AGE: 73

  

As a temporary professed student he had to do his military service from 1905 to 1907. During the First World War he was military chaplain in Italy and Macedonia. He had opportunity to contact orthodox people in Greece and befriended them.

Both before and after the war he was master of novices, until 1925. He was superior of Stimate for three years and then he was elected general councillor and went to Rome (S. Agatha) where he became formator of the professed students in our international college. 

In 1934 he went to Brazil where he was involved again in the formation of our students. He was superior, master of novices, spiritual director, vicar provincial from 1944 to 1952.

He left behind a memory of a fervent religious and a holy priest.
